He’s published more than 30 books – and now, David A. Robertson is on a mission to help other Indigenous writers and illustrators dip their toes into the publishing world.
After releasing a young adult fantasy series called The Misewa Saga through Penguin Random House Canada, the author and member of Norway House Cree Nation is launching a new imprint with the publisher dedicated to Indigenous children’s books.
The imprint, called Swift Water Books, will publish children and youth-focused picture books, chapter books and graphic novels exclusively by Indigenous authors and illustrators.
