Comic-Con announced the nominations for 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry awards and Canadian creators are in the running. Nominees include:
– Adam de Souza for The Gulf (Tundra) in the Best Publication for Teens category
– Alison McCreesh for Degrees of Separation: A Decade North of 60 (Conundrum) in the Best Graphic Memoir category
– Allison O’Toole for Zdarsky Comics News (Chip Zdarsky) in the category of Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism
– Boum for The Jellyfish (Pow Pow Press) translated by Robin Land and Helge Dascher in the Best U.S. Edition of International Material category
– David Lapp for The Field (Conundrum) in the Best Graphic Memoir category
– Elise Gravel for Club Microbe (Drawn & Quarterly) in the Best Publication for Early Readers category
– Jeff Lemire for Minor Arcana (BOOM! Studios) in the Best New Series category
– Mariko Tamaki for Zatanna: Bring Down the House (DC) in the Best Limited Series category
– Maurice Vellekoop for I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together (Pantheon) in the Best Graphic Memoir category
– Ryan North for Fantastic Four (Marvel) in the Best Continuing Series category
– Sarah Leavitt for Something, Not Nothing: A Story of Grief and Love (Arsenal Pulp Press) in the Best Graphic Memoir category
– Tony Cliff for Practical Defence Against Piracy in the Best Webcomic category
Awards will be announced and trophies will be presented at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel during Comic-Con on the evening of July 25. Congratulations to all the nominees!
