Acclaimed cartoonist Ben Katchor hosts an amazing, free, online “weekly lecture series about comics, picture-stories, animation and other text-image work.” Definitely worth checking out and becoming a part of.
According to Wikipedia: “A Guggenheim Fellowship and MacArthur Fellowship recipient, Katchor was described by author Michael Chabon as “the creator of the last great American comic strip.”[1]“
