Toronto Comic Jam Recap: June 29, 2025

It was a hot night on a long weekend and about 20 brave souls made it out to the cool back room of The Cameron House to draw comics together! Was nice to see new and old jammers hanging out together!

We published a very thick May jam book featuring a cover by the always inventive David Bragdon:

…with an informative interview from the hugely successful and very generous master illustrator Kagan McLeod, who used to attend the Toronto Comic Jam 25 years ago!

… and introducing a new segment, a four-page artist sketchbook pullout, this month featuring the insanely talented comic jammer Yamandú Sztainbok!

And included in this month’s zine is a coupon for a very generous 10% discount off your next purchase at Gwartzman’s Art Supplies! Thank you Gwartzman’s!

This month we also had donated a BOX OF FREE COMICS by Toronto Comic Jam alumni Robb Mirsky and extremely cool tshirt printing business My Moving Parts! Please feel free to take a comic home, or use for collage art at the next jam!

And finally, we are sharing around some pages with the Belfast Comic Jam, the Dublin Comic Jam and the Vancouver Comic Jam for a truly remarkable International Comic Jam!

The International Comic Jam is being organized by Andrew Pope of the Belfast Comic Jam (who you can read a little more about here). We email eachother scans of in-progress pages each month, so it will take a few months to finish. Nice and easy.

The pages for the Toronto Comic Jam are being hosted on our Discord server here, and we will share them soon!

So many fun and creative things going on, please join us!
